Getting Started

ESL Assessment/Orientation/Advisement

 

All English as a Second Language students planning to take an ESL class MUST complete step 1 through 4 in the following order:

  1. Apply to Grossmont College. www.grossmont.edu
                  Wait 24 hours for your application to process.
  2. Take the English as a Second Language test (see below). Bring a #2 pencil and your college ID. See Below.
  3. Attend an Orientation/Class Selection session AFTER you have completed a Testing session.  At this session, ESL faculty and counselors will provide you with your test results and assist you with selecting the classes you should take. These sessions may be cancelled based on ESL course fill rate.
  4. Register for classes after you complete steps 1, 2 & 3.
                   Use the WebAdvisor.

Testing will be available by appointments ONLY.
PLEASE BE ON TIME.
