Grossmont College's English as a Second Language helps students whose native
language is not English succeed in their college courses, professions, and
community activities.
Some important features of our program are the following:
All English as a Second Language students planning to
take an ESL class MUST complete
step 1 through 4 in the following order:

Apply to
Grossmont College, www.grossmont.edu.

Take the
English as a Second
Language test. By appointment only.

Attend an
Orientation/Class Selection.
At this session, ESL faculty and counselors will provide you with your test results and
assist you with selecting the classes you should take.
