Richard Agundez Public Safety Scholarship (private funding)

$2000

Must be currently enrolled in the Administration of Justice program.

Griffin Award of Excellence

$1500

Completion of at least 24 Grossmont College units; full time enrollment and a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Ivan Nolan Memorial Scholarship

$1500

Completion of a minimum of 24 units; enrolled in a minimum of 12 units; GPA 3.0;financial need. For students planning a career in Engineering.

American Association of University Women (private funding)

$1000

Completion of a minimum of 12 units at Grossmont College or Cuyamaca;  current enrollment in 12 units; minimum 3.0 GPA; female student. Click here for application

KBN Sorority Scholarship

$1000

Applicant must be pursing a career in human services field with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Be involved or have been involved in community service and must demonstrate financial need.

San Diego Foundation Dietschman Fund

$750 (2)

Current enrollment in at least 12 units. Completion of 12 units; majoring in the health care field; financial need.

Todd Longstreth Photographic Arts Scholarship

$750

Enrollment in Photo II, III or advanced photo class; GPA 3.0; submission of 2 unmounted 8x10 photos process and printed by applicant. Click here for application.

Barnes and Noble Textbook Award

$500(7)

Seven awards will be as follows:  3 awards to students majoring in General Business; 2 awards to Entering Freshmen students (enrolled in the first or second semester of college); 2 awards to students who are Intercollegiate Team Members; all students must be enrolled full time; GPA 2.5.

Albert and June Van Zanten Memorial Scholarship for Foster Youth

$500

Awarded in memory of a former Grossmont Trustee of the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District and former Mayor of El Cajon to assist former foster youth students with tuition books and other living expenses and who have financial need and a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Christy Seiler Davis Memorial Scholarship

$500

Re-try Student, Age 35 and older.

Craig and Pat McCollum Scholarship in Computer Science

$500

Completion of 12 units; current full time enrollment; GPA 3.0; majoring in Computer Science.

Dayna Ivy Peoples Memorial Scholarship

$500

Re-Entry student who can demonstrate financial need. Completion of 12 units with a GPA of at least 3.0

Jack Wilton Scholarship in Biology

$500

Completion of minimum of 12 units; at least 10 units must be in Biology; minimum GPA 3.0; demonstrated of services to the community.

Kiwanis Peace Officer Appreciation Scholarship

$500

Student must have completed a minimum of 12 units of Administration of Justice course work with a "C" or better.

San Diego East Visitors Bureau Scholarship

$500

Offered by the San Diego Visitors Bureau to a student enrolled on the Tourism Hospitality education track at Grossmont College. Completion of 24 units and enrolled in 12 units with minimum GPA 3.0.

The Ruane Family Trust Scholarship

$500

Completion of 12 units, enrolled in 12 units; GPA of at least 3.0. Applicant must be pursuing a major in social work and must demonstrate financial need.

Lee Roper Memorial Scholarship

$300

Re-Entry Student who has completed at least 12 units and is majoring in a Social Science subject.

Lewis Smith Memorial Scholarship

$300

Completion of 12 units; enrolled in 12 units; GPA 3.0;demonstrated record of service to school or community; financial need.

Fleet Reserve Auxiliary Scholarship

  $250

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen; currently enrolled full-time in nursing or health care program.

Grossmont College Financial Aid Department Incoming Freshmen Scholarship

$250

Sponsored by the Grossmont College Financial Aid Department awarded to first time college student who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and with financial need.

Grossmont College International Student Scholarship

$250

Applicants must be F1 Visa; completion of 24 units at Grossmont College; pursuing an AA degree; GPA 3.0.

Ruth Coover Foreign Language Scholarship

$250

Completion of a minimum of 12 units; enrolled in 12 units; completion of French or German language classes at Grossmont College; GPA 3.0.

Z. Dean Parks Scholarship

$250

Completion of 24 units; enrolled in 12 units; GPA 3.0; pursuing a career in education.

24

ASGC Lyman Menor Scholarship

$200

Completion of 9 units and current enrollment in 9 units; financial need; must participate in a recognized organization or athletics on campus.

Grossmont College DSPS Scholarship

$200

Current enrollment in 6 units; applicant must be physically, learning or communicatory disabled; financial need. If applicant is not receiving services from DSPS, applicant must submit record documenting the disability.

Grossmont College EOPS Scholarship

$200

Sponsored by the Grossmont College EOPS department awared to a student who is currently involved in any EOPS; CARE, CALWORKS, or HORIZONS.

Grossmont College ESL Scholarship

$200

Completion of minimum of 12 units of ESL classes; currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 units; one ESL core curriculum class; minimum GPA 3.0

28

Jean Jones Scholarship in Music

$200

Current enrollment in a GC Symphony or a musical performance class; completion of 6 units; minimum GPA 2.5; enrolled full time.

29

Henry Vanden Broek Nursing Scholarship

$150

Second year nursing student; financial need.

30

Janette Reints Memorial Scholarship

$150

Completion of 12 units; current enrollment in 6 units; GPA 3.0; preparing for a job requiring training in Business Office Technology.

31 Susie Haywood Service Award Scholarship $150 Must be a full-time student who has completed at 24 units. Must demonstrate service to the college or the community.

Student Veteran Organization Scholarship

$100

Completion of 30 units with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicant must be an honorably discharged Veteran with 4 years of active duty completed in the Armed Forces of the United States. Must show proof of honorable discharge.
