Havana

"Havana (La Habana), the largest city in the Caribbean (currently about 2.2 million), is Cuba's political, cultural, and economic hub.  Havana suffered little or no damage during the wars and revolutions of the past 200 years, and the old town is easily the finest surviving Spanish colonial complex in the Americas.  Millions of dollars have gone into restoration work since la Habana Vieja was declared a World Heritage Site in 1982." Nonetheless, "nearly half of the housing in the city is in bad repair....Each year about 300 buildings collapse, and it's estimated that 88,000 Havana dwellings will have to be demolished."
