Courses In The Program:
Web Design
Students interested in Web Design practice in the
use of design principles for the creation of quality
web content. Techniques for preparing graphics for
the web and HTML editing are covered. Students will
use computer graphics industry standard software:
Macromedia Dreamweaver
Recommended Preparation: Intermediate computer
skills or consent of the instructor.
Graphic Editing Tools
Students interested in web design will learn how
to use their design skills. Students will use
industry standard software: Adobe Photoshop CS2.
Strong emphasis is placed on techniques that
beginning designers need to obtain employment.
Recommended Preparation: Intermediate computer
skills or consent of the instructor.
Web Graphics III
This course utilizes skills learned in either Web
Graphics I or Web Graphics II to produce quality
design work. Strong emphasis is placed on techniques
that web designers need to obtain employment,
including job search and interviewing techniques and
portfolio development. Software TBD, call ROP
office.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of either Web
Graphics I or Web Graphics II or the consent of the
instructor.
Graphic Design/InDesign or QuarkXPress
Students receive entry-level training in graphic
and web design using QuarkXPress or InDesign.
Instruction covers electronic document design and
layout composition and text and graphics entry from
other programs, also storage and data management.

skills
