Transfer Admission Guarantee

The UCSD Transfer Admission Guarantee requires an online application, which must be submitted between September 1 - 30, 2010.  See all program requirements on the UC San Diego Admission website.  prospective.ucsd.edu/go/transfer look for the TAG for Fall 2011 on the right

 It is strongly recommended that you complete the online TAG application, however, if you are unable to meet the deadline, you will still be considered TAG eligible if you indicate on the UC application (which must be completed between November 1-30, 2010)  you have followed the TAG and IGETC requirements for UCSD. 

The UCSD TAG requirements include:

 v  completion of 60 UC transferable units by the end of the spring semester prior to fall admission  (at least 30 units must be completed at a California community college)

v  A GPA of 3.0 or higher by the end of the prior fall semester for fall  admission

 v  IGETC must be completed (no partial IGETC allowed)

v  UC math and two UC English composition courses must be completed by the end of the prior fall semester for fall admission

    The college will NOT be guaranteed 

  The major will NOT be guaranteed

 

 2011-2012 UCSD TAG Eligibility

v  For fall 2011, you must earn a cumulative 3.0 minimum UC GPA by the end of fall 2010 and maintain a 3.0 GPA through the end of spring 2011

v  For fall 2011 admission, you must complete the UC level English courses and math requirement (IGETC Sections 1A, 1B, and 2) by the end of fall 2010   

v  This agreement is available to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, AB540 students and former UC students in good standing (except former UCSD students), and international students who have NO postsecondary coursework outside the United States

 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Additional lower-division G.E. requirements for Revelle and Eleanor Roosevelt may be completed at Grossmont College or after transfer to UCSD. These courses should be selected from approved courses on the Grossmont College breadth articulation agreement (www.assist.org). It is advisable to complete as much as possible at Grossmont College.
